Yoga for Gardeners and Farmers at Harlequin Gardens, Boulder, CO

Yoga for Gardeners and Farmers at Harlequin Gardens, Boulder, CO

Harlequin Gardens (map)

Long hours bending, lifting, kneeling, and squatting in the garden can take a real toll on the body. As a gardener, farmer, and longtime yoga teacher, Amy has experienced firsthand how essential flexibility, mobility, and joint health are for getting through the growing season and recovering so you can do it all again the next day.

This gardener-friendly yoga class is designed to support the specific physical demands of gardening and farm work. We’ll focus on improving mobility in the hips, lower back, knees, shoulders, and wrists, while building strength and stability that protect joints and reduce common aches and injuries.

The practice is practical, accessible, and adaptable for all levels. No prior yoga experience is needed. This is a chance to care for your body before the busy season begins so you can move more comfortably, work more efficiently, and enjoy your time in the garden.

This is the ideal time of year to start getting flexible and strong, before planting ramps up and your body is asked to do it all!

I’m honored to be offering this class at my absolute favorite local nursery for native plants, shrubs, trees, and other water wise, chemical free, pollinator friendly varieties, herbs, and veggies - the wonderful Harlequin Gardens.

Register directly with Harlequin Gardens online or by calling 303-939-9403 with payment information. All participants will be gifted a discount coupon to shop with at the nursery.

The classe will be held next door at the Boulder Circus Center. The Circus Center is located next door to Harlequin’s Wholesale at 4747 North 26th Street. A confirmation email will always be sent to you before the class confirming location along with any other information.

Students who have signed up as 2026 Members will receive $10 off their first class. Please consider becoming a Member: It is a great way to support Harlequin’s mission. Memberships can be purchased online or at the store.

Hold Nothing: Book Signing and Talk with Elena Brower and Amy Ippoliti at the Boulder Bookstore

Boulder Bookstore (map)

Elena Brower will speak about and sign her new book, Hold Nothing: An Invitation to Let Go and Come Home to Yourself, on Tuesday, March 24th at 6:30pm, at Boulder Bookstore. She will be in conversation with Amy Ippoliti for this special event.

About the Book:
What if the most important work of your life isn’t something you chase—but something you uncover, slowly, in stillness? What if your presence is the greatest offering you can make to the world? This book is an invitation to come home to yourself—gently, honestly, and with great love.

As an evolution of, and a departure from, her best-selling journals, Practice You and Being You, Brower draws on her memories and life experiences, her practice of yoga and Nonviolent Communication, and more recently, her study of Zen, to offer us a road map for living with presence and reverence.

Hold Nothing is a distinctive, artful, contemplative guide for self-discovery and self-inquiry, with wisdom, encouragement, and thought exercises. It includes 45 practices and full-color pieces of artwork to inspire deeper insight and creativity as readers explore each theme. This is not a manual for self-improvement; it is a field guide for self-remembrance, for cultivating tenderness toward your own heart, and for showing up to life completely, with purpose and heartfulness.

The Sanctuary - Yoga to Reconnect, Retreat, and Recharge - The Good Earth Farm, Lennox, SD

Join Amy and our vibrant community for a weekend of connection and renewal at The Good Earth Farm. Take a pause from the noise of the world to practice yoga in a gorgeous barn, savor organic pizza, and create space for deeper connection — with each other and yourself.

Friday Night Yoga, 5:30pm - 8:00pm
Come Home to Yourself: It’s All About the Pelvis
This nourishing evening practice brings you back to your center, the pelvis, as a source of support and stability. Through intentional movement, breath, and grounding poses, we’ll explore how moving from this center creates ease and balance throughout the body. Over time, this can influence how you show up beyond the mat, offering yourself with care rather than depletion. Expect a mix of movement, quiet listening, and a deeply supported savasana. Leave feeling grounded, replenished, and more at home in yourself.

Saturday Morning Yoga, 10:00am - 12:30pm
Hearts Wide Open
Flow through a vibrant blend of gradual, supportive chest-opening poses designed to unlock strength, mobility, and resilience in the upper body. Discover how opening the muscles in the chest can support healthy posture, confident expression, and the ability to handle what comes your way. You’ll leave with practical tools for inversions (more on this Sunday!), backbends, and everyday life, plus a felt sense of openness you can draw on when the world asks more of you.

Saturday Afternoon Yoga, 2:30pm - 5:00pm
Grounded & Generous: Hamstrings, Hips, and Lower Back

Breathe new life into your lower body through a nourishing spectrum of hamstring, hip, and lower back poses designed for both therapeutic relief and renewed vitality. As you create more ease and steadiness in yourself, discover how your ability to give back and make a difference gains more capacity. Walk away feeling freer, more uplifted, and resourced – ready to offer your energy and presence with greater clarity and generosity.

Saturday Evening Farm Dinner, 5:30pm
Enjoy a thoughtfully prepared organic meal from the farm featuring woodfired pizzas and local spring greens.

Sunday Morning Yoga, 10:00am - 12:30pm
Smart Inversions for Real People
If inversions have ever felt intimidating, confusing, or just “not for you,” this Sunday morning session is a safe and supportive place to begin again! We’ll explore upside-down poses as practices of curiosity, trust, and steady progress, not bravado or force.

Through clear alignment, thoughtful preparation, and accessible options, you’ll learn how to approach inversions in ways that honor your body and nervous system. Whether you’re rebuilding confidence, refining familiar inversions, or simply learning how to prepare for inversions without ever going fully upside down, the emphasis is on choice, consent, and intelligent support.

Expect to leave feeling more informed, more capable, and surprisingly calm — with tools you can use both on the mat and in moments when life asks you to see things differently.

One-Day Hands on Assists Training for Yoga Teachers at Joy Collective in Sioux Falls!

A skillful hands-on assist can be deeply supportive, clarifying, and transformative for a student’s practice. At the same time, an unskillful or unconscious adjustment can be confusing or harmful – sometimes more so than offering no assist at all. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to offer hands-on assists that are intelligent, respectful, and truly supportive of your students’ bodies and nervous systems.

This day of immersive training is designed to refine your skills in therapeutic touch, observation, and clear intention. Under Amy’s guidance, you’ll explore a wide range of manual assists for common asanas, learning how to adapt them for different bodies, abilities, and contexts. Emphasis will be placed on consent, communication, and the subtle art of presence—so your assists feel educational, empowering, and safe.

Through guided practice, partner work, and thoughtful feedback, you’ll deepen your sensitivity, confidence, and discernment as a teacher. Come expand your teaching repertoire, sharpen your observational skills, and reconnect with hands-on assisting as an act of service, care, and attunement.
